A Flight personnel arrived at Kings Cross at 0730hrs and proceeded to Northolt. B Flight personnel left Drem by road and rail. Fifteen aircraft left Drem by 1000hrs and refuelled at Church Fenton. The Squadron was declared available at Northolt by 1300hrs and a message of congratulations was received from AOC 11 Group, Air Vice-Marshal Keith Park for the speed and efficiency of the move. It would be a further 10 days before 609 would be called to action.
